Gilbert Garcia Group, P.A. Wins

Battle Against Hunger with Water Balloons

The Gilbert Garcia Group, P.A. is a new friend and supporter of St. Peter Claver Catholic School and its mission.  When the call went out for snacks to feed the over 200 students attending daily classes, the greatest demand for food being during the classroom morning, Gilbert Garcia Group responded with a May Food Drive unlike any other seen in the School’s 123 year history.

The staff at Gilbert Garcia Group was split into different teams and given a list of food items in need at the School.  For every food item brought in, the teams received water balloons.  The winning team, the one with the most food items, received even more water balloons.  On May 26th, each team battled the other in a satisfying and soaking Water Balloon Fight leaving all participants wetter but happier for the effort.

Managing Partner, Michelle Garcia Gilbert, Esq. said of the event and the School, “It is our honor to support the future leaders of our community who will aspire to use the gifts provided to them, as God deems best.  We believe in partnering with children during their critical years, in the hope that they will one day be our friends, colleagues and neighbors.”

Together with their network of established business professionals, the Gilbert Garcia Group, P.A. is an outside counsel to privately-held and public corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, non-profits and other forms of organizations.

Founded in Tampa in 1894, St. Peter Claver is the oldest historically African-American elementary school still functioning in the state of Florida.
