Laura Layne Walker is a Florida native and was born and raised in Tampa, Florida.  She has a BA degree in accounting from the University of South Florida, College of Business Administration. She later attended Stetson University College of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor Degree in 1985.  While at Stetson Law she graduated Cum Laude and was a Dana Scholar. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1985.

Laura has also been a member of the Middle District of Florida since 1986. She is also active in the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Real Property and Probate and Trust Law Section and the Florida Bar, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.

During her 25 years of practicing law, Laura has handled a wide variety of legal matters, including all legal matters relating to default litigation. She has also handled legal procedures and policies relating to the foreclosure process in the State of Florida including current foreclosure complaint requirements, administrative compliance, title issues and client relations.

Laura has also had the privilege of attending on-site training for various lenders throughout the state and has been a panelist/speaker on behalf of the USFN as to current Florida foreclosure practices and procedures.
